Sometimes not even a star rating or offer list does a recruit justice..I'll just use Morris Claiborne from last year's class as an example because he's fresh in my memory. He's only a 3* kid, and other than LSU the only "big time" schools to offer him were TAMU and Nebraska..with Tulane, LA Tech and Arkansas State rounding out his top picks.

By all accounts, though, the guy has been performing at a high level (arguably better than Rueben Randle at this point) so far and looks like he'll be a good player on either side of the ball.

Sometimes you just have to take the coaching staff's word for it, I think.
And as fans of our respective teams, we have to trust our coaching staffs to evaluate talent.
