Re: Richard Hendrix - Draft Projection

I don't think it is a stretch at all that he could be an 8th or 9th man this season. Hendrix is really good so why can he not be an 8th or 9th man on an NBA team when Leon Powe and Glen Davis were both big contributers for the Celtics who just won the championship. He might be an inch short or not as athletic as some would like, but he is a beast and I think more athletic than many give him credit for. Certain teams love players like Hendrix who know how to play the game and don't rely solely on their athleticism. Look at Paul Millsap for the Jazz, Turiaf for the Lakers, and Malik Rose back in the day. Heck, Reggie Evans has been a solid NBA player for years and he certainly does not have the skill set Hendrix has. These guys were not any better than Hendrix, so I can easily see him fitting in with a team and contributing off the bench next season. People said David West was too short and not athletic enough either. He is now an All-Star. I don't blame Hendrix for leaving because he has graduated, his biggest knock is that he is too short and he is not going to grow, and he does not want to risk an injury when he does not have much to gain, other than playing on a solid Bama team. Remember Chuck Davis and Ronald??? Ronald could have possibly been a first round pick after his sophomore season.
