I understand where you're coming from, but winning 50-38 isn't any better than 24-10, IMHO.
I beg to differ about defense being an afterthought in the Big 12. Offenses have gotten the better of defense this season, but don't think for a minute that defense has been forgotten in Norman. Sooner fans are up in arms about the performance of OUR defense this season. Defense has been the cornerstone of OU's sucess over the years. When OU was running the bone and putting up ridiculous stats, it was defense that won a lot of those ballgames. You might remember some names like Selmon, Bosworth, Casillas, and many others. i know Bama's D is real stout, I've watched you guys several times this season. I wonder how your defensive stats would look like if you faced the kinds of offenses the Big 12 has? All I'm saying is don't base your opinion about the Big 12 on one season.
