Note Update on some recent Bama players

Share

Rod Grizzard--after playing in Mobile in the NBA developmental league, was headed for Turkey until Coach Grizzard told him that Turkey is near Bagdad. Fayetteville in the developmental league looks like a possibility now.

Gerald Wallace--played in 7 of Sacramento's first 8 games, averaging 12 minutes a game (as he did last season) and is scoring 1.4 points a game, down from 4.7 last season.

Mo Williams--played in 3 of Utah's first 8 games, playing 25 minutes against Dallas and 8 minutes a game in the other two and has scored 13 points (4.3 ppg).

Erwin Dudley signed to play in Italy this season, but is back in Birmingham to rehabilitate a knee. He's supposed to go back to Italy in December if healthy.

Note

Thanks for the update. Here's some more info if you're interested in former players.

Grizzard was in camp with the Pistons this preseason, but was cut. He's now on the Huntsville Flight roster.

Demetrius Alexander was in Utah's camp this preseason, but was cut.

Eric Washington was also cut from Denver's camp.

Here's a good link on where former Bama players are now

Thanks DJ for the excellent link. It seems even the long-time pros, like Benoit and Ansley, don't retire--they go international. Definitely a site to revisit.
