Re: Latest NCAA projection

We will be at least 9-7 in conf. and we'll get in. The NCAA wants 6 from the SEC.

Re: Latest NCAA projection

pvilleguru, I should have added this with my post. I'm not exactly sure who the source is, but I got it off this site, which is another message board. Sorry about that.

This is the last time i will post on this system because i am getting tired of it....
but how is miss. st at 14-10 in when they lost to Winthrop and S. Carolina at home and their other losses including power houses such as George Mason and Mizz. and oh yeah one more thing we beat them....we are 18-7....and yet they are in over us.
Second,
How in the world are Auburn and LSU ahead of us in your "rankings" LSU is 14-11 and we swept the season series with them. Auburn is 14-12, has lost 3 in a row, and has been swept by Miss. St.
I would also like to know how tenn is below both of the Miss. teams since they are 18-8 have wins over Ok. St., Memphis, Texas, and Kentucky twice.....
These rankings are ridiculous because the margin over 100 that most of your "in" teams have is less than 2 and yet we are 3.21 out of being at 100 so i say we just pack it in and start playing for next season

Don't hold your breath waiting on a response.
I'll add that Arkansas is 4-7 in conference play and are less than a point behind a 7-4 Vandy team.

Big A Re: Latest NCAA projection

These are the rankings at present. It all works out by the end of the SEC tournament. It is always a little funky until around game 15 of the SEC season. It just shows how much work teams need to do to get in. This system has been used for years to seed teams in districts in HS basketball. It has always worked in the SEC. I have been on local radio to predict who is in who is ouit because it is so accurate.

A little funky? If your system doesn't work until game 15 out of 16, then why have you been posting your ratings? Please call a real radio station and declare that your ratings have MSU in the tournament. I'm begging you...

Re: Latest NCAA projection

Cut the guy some slack. At this time in the year, you can google "NCAA Tournament teams" and I guarentee that thousands of so-called expert systems, equations, backets, bubbles, breakdowns, etc. will come up. The one I posted is not official, but it's decent... I think. Let this guy post his system b/c this time of the year, every one has their system. I actually like seeing different systems. I have no problem if you keep posting them.

Then you should know that those so-called experts often spend time defending their selections. He shouldn't be immune to criticism either...especially considering the fact he utilizes a "formula" that he refuses to disclose, BUT continues to claim that it's worked for 20 years...without displaying any proof to such a claim.

He's probably afraid someone will steal his precious formula. No worries, though. No one wants any part of a formula that places MSU in the NCAA tourney.
