Hendrix's draft plans will decide his future and Alabama's

That writer is correct.

If we have Hendrix as a senior, plus Steele back, I think we will probably win the West. Or, even if you take into account a negative Gottfried effect, I think we still finish as one of the top teams and likely make the NCAA Tournament.

However, if neither of those guys return, it will probably get ugly. We'll be at the bottom of the conference again, and unless someone unexpectedly starts playing at a high level, we'll likely be shooting for a spot in the NIT.

Say what you will, but the single biggest impact on our season will come when Hendrix and Steele announce their decisions.

You're underrating the Gottfried effect.

Bingo. Like you said, with them we have the chance at a pretty good season, without them..........well frankly I'd rather not think about it.
