Watching the draft up to pick 41 as I type this, IMHO, Richard should have stayed one more year at Bama. He could have had a monster year and improved his draft status.
i just dont understand what hendrix was thinking. I know injuries happen but you have the opportunity to make sure you get drafted. It isnt like we havent seen this before...i'm confused.. I can see the miami heat taking him tho..
didnt jamereo davidson get drafted late then fail to make a squad?
Jermareo was drafted by GS and then traded to Charlotte on draft night in the Jason Richardson for Brandan Wright trade. He made Charlotte's team and was on the squad all season. He never even went down to the D-League. Chris Mullin or someone in Golden State's front office must like the Crimson Tide!
Hendrix may not be a starter next year, but he's got good size for a power forward, averaged a double-double this season; and seems to have bulked up since the season ended. He looked strong in the camp videos I've seen recently. I could easily see him playing some quality minutes off the bench by mid-season. JMO of course.
Good luck Richard, and thanks for your efforts here.

I wish he would have stayed but I can see why he left. He has his degree and wants to be a pro basketball player. After a regular student gets his degree he goes out and gets a job. How is Hendrix any different? Its not like he left before he finished school. He is doing what he loves to do and I hope he does well.

Davidson was sent down to the D-Leauge in January. He averaged 18 ppg and 8.8 rpg in Sioux Falls.
Also, Sharpe is making a move to SF. He'll be able to make that transition, because he can handle the ball and hit a mid-range jumpshot. Hendrix will have a tough time in Golden State, because they play a break-neck style of offense. The Warriors don't care to play defense, just try to score one more than you do. I hope the best for him, but I just don't see it in GS.

You're right, but I know he was not there long because he was on the Bobcats roster the majority of the season. He played six games in the D-League, and was there for so short a time because the Bobcats were so thin up front. The point is, he was not in the D-League for most of the season or cut by a team like many believe.
