Re: (update - bumped again 9:30-ish) 8:30 am - Live interview with Coach Grant .

Finally !

Family decision . Opportunity to build and compete for championships . Quickness of decision . A good place for his family to live .

Learning his current players and looking at the current commitments . Responsibility of leading a major sport . Quality product for school , fans and community .

Meeting with Coach Saban . Admires Saban , respects his accomplishments and shares CNS's belief that every sport @ the UofA should be competing for championships .

Up tempo team and attacking style of offense . Players should enjoy his style . Our state has plenty of players who are athletic enough to fit his system .

Wants to find the best AC's for the current situation . Should be about 2 weeks to fill out the staff .

On possibly playing AlaSt again in Montgomery - would like to play all around the state .

Even with my very limited typing skills , I think I got all of it

I think Pearson would be a good Asst Coach for a couple of years.....to help him in his progress as a Coach.

Re: (update - bumped again 9:30-ish) 8:30 am - Live interview with Coach Grant .

After listening to the interview.....I forgot the "charm" of local sports radio. With the invention of Satellite Radio and Internet Radio, I stick mostly to Nat'l Sports Talk.....

The wait for Coach Grant was very painful to listen to.......are there no sane listeners to Local Sports Radio in Montgomery that call in the show?

Ok, I'm done.....lol

I disagree. I don't think anyone from the current staff should be retained. I think we need a fresh start with CAG. I appreciate all the hard work and dedication that the staff has put into the university but I just believe that CAG needs his own people. CAG is old enough and experienced enough that he does not need Pearson's help.

I generally agree. Although Pettway is new enough to the former staff to get around that. But then again he might be to inexperienced to fit CAG's needs...
