Scarbinsky: Alabama coach Anthony Grant; never thought I'd see the day

Quote:
I just didn't believe it was going to be Grant.
I said so in this newspaper Jan. 28, and I was wrong.

Quote:
Georgia was interested in Grant, among others, but Georgia's mistake was in hiring the Parker Executive Search firm in Atlanta to help. That firm rubbed Grant the wrong way a year ago when it helped LSU look for a basketball coach.

So I guess UGA dropped the ball by not being personal with their search!

Pretty good insights...

I got through "Yep." I don't need Scab to tell me he was wrong. I would need someone to tell me when he is right.

Never thought I'd see the day either...the day Scab admitted he was wrong.

Kevin's a good guy. That doesn't mean that I agree with everything he writes. Which is OK: He's a columnist with an opinion; I'm a reader who may have a different one. That's the way it works.

This, however, is a very good piece.

Points well taken, Eyeshade. I want a columnist to make me think, and when he does that, I may or may not agree with him. What I don't want is to read someone who is basically saying, I've been nowhere, I've talked to no one, but here's what I think. In general, that is not what I get from reading Kevin, though I don't always share his conclusions.
Now to important stuff -- Coach Grant, if you are reading this, I have all my eligibility left, and I can still hit from beyond the arc.

Yeah, but can you do this?

Scab......... not a bad read, but he's still moon walking like Michael Jackson. And to be honest, he doesn't give any information that I haven't already seen elsewhere, on the entire hiring process. This article is several days late IMO.
