Nothing since hearing that Grant was meeting with him in Birmingham earlier this week. I think he may still be enamored with the Duke offer, and trying to get all his academics in order.

Coach Bryant, after announcing his retirement, was asked if he was dissappointed that an Alabama player had never won the Heisman Trophy while he was the coach. He said, "No!", and added, "At Alabama our players do not win Heisman Trophies, our teams win national championships."
Bledsoe named his top four today... (Alabama, Cincinnatti, Kentucky and Florida). Article is on BOL, for you rivals subscribers.
Im sure he will have a decision in a few weeks, once signing day period begins again. If he chooses us, it would be HUGE for next year.
Nothing but my intuition here. But given this list, given our roster and given our new coach, Mr. Bledsoe will be the next great Parker player headed one hour due west.
What I'm getting on the side is that qualification is a real worry. That's coming from folks who follow that sort of thing on a full time basis. Hate it...

I also hear the Duke "offer" was sort of a "throwaway." (I could have edited the post above, but this breaks the palindrome... )

I always thought there was nothing to the Duke offer. Coach K doesn't recruit too many people with academic difficulties. Yes, he can play there, but I hope he comes to Bama but something tells me he goes to Cincinnati (sp)
I am thinking that he goes to BAMA, too. Qualification is our biggest concern, however, it is still attainable.
If he hasnt committed until now at all, then that says to me, that he wasn't "in love" with these other schools in his top 4. This would put us on a level playing field, and I think that playing in state would work in our favor.
