Big A Yamene Coleman leaves team

Share

Now that Yamene has graduated, he has decided to leave the team. While this hurts our big man numbers as far as the rotation goes, it also opens up a scholarship. Does anyone have any idea which direction we may be looking to? I haven't heard of any seniors or juco kids we've been close to signing. Maybe Cage gets a scholly for this year, and we give it to someone next year when Coleman would've been finished anyway. Our bigs for next year will be Green and Knox along with Kemp and Jemison. Hines can play down low being 6'8", but he's more of a SF.

I think it affords an opportunity for an upgrade...

Re: Yamene Coleman leaves team

Maybe a bit of small-ball? Kemp would afford us a more traditional rotation option if he came in ready, but the common view is that he's a work in progress.

not to degrade a former Bama player, but i'm not too upset by his decision.
