The police report says a Pitino assistant was there during the encounter and heard what sounded like consensual sex.
Quote:
According to the report, Pitino said he wanted to meet her discreetly and suggested the condo of the team’s equipment manager, Tim Sypher. Karen Sypher went to the condo, where she alleges the second assault took place, according to the report. Karen Sypher, who later married Tim Sypher, met him for the first time that day.
Wow! I don't feel sorry for Rick. You reap what you sow. I do feel sorry for Rick's wife and kids. What will this do to his recruiting young men for his basketball team? Most mother's frown on on adultery.
I thought the AD and the Presidents quotes were a bit odd, the AD said Coach Pitino has told us the truth about it all along, etc., the President said there were new details which just came to his attention which were surprising
Looks like Louisville will handle it as "nothing to see hear, folks....move along" and hope for the best. Rick is scum, no doubt about it.

Elaborate on Petrino's character...I don't remember hearing anything negative about him.
He told his team he was leaving via letter once he was already on his way to Arkansas and had previously told them he wasn't going anywhere. He didn't even finish out the season, something Saban at least did. He pulled a Franchione, only he somehow managed to one up old Man-Teets.
This is the same administration that hired Bobby Petrino.
It sounds like character is pretty low on their list of qualifications. Winning above all else I suppose.
I don't see how referencing Petrino's time with the Falcons supports the notion that Louisville didn't care about Petrino's character when they hired him. Louisville hired Petrino before any of the Falcons stuff happened. Louisville hired Petrino before he secretly tried to get every college head coaching job in the country.
Now, if you want to argue that Louisville should have fired Petrino, then I think a good argument could be made. However, I don't remember any character red flags with regards to Petrino before Louisville hired him.
Oh yeah, if Louisville had any stones, Pitino would not be their head basketball coach.
