BAMA fan in middle of Tiger country

Posted August 30th, 2007 at 01:02 PM by crimsonbear911

I work in a large Ford dealership in Lafayette, LA and surrounded daily by LSU diehards as the owners and 99% of employees are Tigers all the way. I just stay cool and calm, looking toward the day when BAMA rules again. These Tiger fans are very nervous about coming up to T town to rehash memories with CNS. In fact on a popular call-in sports talk show yesterday afternoon the consensus of fans and the hosts was an 10-2 season for the Tigers, losing to Vir Tech/Auburn & ALABAMA !!!!!

Roll Tide, fellow exile! I live about an hour further away, in Lake Chuck. I hope the Swamp Cats beat VT; they are SEC, after all, and frankly I've grown a little fond of them (kinda like you would a stray dog, or cat, in this case). They're not the Tide, but they're all we've got around these parts, and hey!--they like to beat Auburn, too! Which brings me to the second part of this post--I would much rather have the Swamp Kittens win than the War Tiggers. I wish our neighbors a very good 12-1 season, with only a loss to the mighty Crimson!

And BTW, a Crimson/White Ford sure looks a lot better than a Purple/Gold one, doesn't it?
