BAMA fan in middle of Tiger country

I work in a large Ford dealership in Lafayette, LA and surrounded daily by LSU diehards as the owners and 99% of employees are Tigers all the way. I just stay cool and calm, looking toward the day when BAMA rules again. These Tiger fans are very nervous about coming up to T town to rehash memories with CNS. In fact on a popular call-in sports talk show yesterday afternoon the consensus of fans and the hosts was an 10-2 season for the Tigers, losing to Vir Tech/Auburn & ALABAMA !!!!!Total Comments 2

Roll Tide, fellow exile! I live about an hour further away, in Lake Chuck. I hope the Swamp Cats beat VT; they are SEC, after all, and frankly I've grown a little fond of them (kinda like you would a stray dog, or cat, in this case). They're not the Tide, but they're all we've got around these parts, and hey!--they like to beat Auburn, too! Which brings me to the second part of this post--I would much rather have the Swamp Kittens win than the War Tiggers. I wish our neighbors a very good 12-1 season, with only a loss to the mighty Crimson!
And BTW, a Crimson/White Ford sure looks a lot better than a Purple/Gold one, doesn't it?

Hey you two- I can relate- I have lived in NOLA since graduating from Bama in '00--then I went a married someone who went to lsu (even got proposed to at an lsu/bama football game in ttown in 2005), so I know what it slike being a die hard bama fan in a sea of tigers- but now that we are living in nc (just moved here for 3 yrs- ick) not only do i miss being bear bama games, but watching lsu on gameday makes me kinda miss going to thise games too-- but come nov 3 in ttown, i wont have the semi-love for lsu that i feel today!Posted September 8th, 2007 at 11:09 AM by bamabyrd
