Alabama is the consensus No. 1 college football team during the regular season for the first time since 1980. That's a long time. So long ago, that I was a 10-year old the last time it happened.

I remember vividly the day it came to an end.

In Jackson, MS watching Bama get beat by State 6-3. All we had to do was hand the ball off to Lenny Patrick 6 more time (but he was in Bears doghouse at the time). I never seen Bama fans more stunned than after that game. Fans just sat in the stands after the game in disbelief.

I was at the Marine corps recruit training center in Parris Island South Carolina and i left as a Marine and very proud to serve my country .In these days most people dont understand what it requires to keep this country as safe as we can.The cost of freedom is not free it comes at a price of sometimes the lives of our brave men and women of our armed forces may GOD watch over and protect all of them and some will even go to there home of eternity where all GODS children go.When this country forgets this it will cease to be free. Which is happening on a greater scale now. There will be no freedom on this earth except the freedom we have in Jesus Christ while on this earth thanks to all of our military personel and God Bless you all from this crimson tide fan .ROLL TIDE FOREEVER
