It has been 50 years since Alabama and Chattanooga played against each other in Tuscaloosa. That streak ends Saturday as the Crimson Tide closes out its 2009 home schedule with its first game against the Mocs at Bryant-Denny Stadium since Oct. 10, 1959.

and I am looking forward to the trip as I have never been to Tuscaloosa. We're eating breakfast at Ramma Jamma (sp?) and my son will ride back with us after the game as he wants to go to Dreamland.
I have seen some criticism of the way our coach handled the ESPN interview, but in all honesty, what is he supposed to say? Our kids are just excited to be there. They got a big kick in Norman, Oklahoma last year when they bussed to the stadium and the fans were flipping them off and taunting them. This trip like Norman will be a memory that will last a lifetime, regardless of the outcome. I will be proud of my slow, undersized son and will likely shed a tear when I see him lined up to play against the most storied football team in college football.

SEC West and the possibility of all being Bowl eligible

So if Mississippi States Wins out (Arkansas and Ole Miss) toughies I know...

So if Mississippi States Wins out (Arkansas and Ole Miss) toughies I know that means ever team in the West will be Bowl eligible.

And then in the East UT just needs to clear either Vandy or Kentucky (very doable and expected I Imagine)

We could possibly be looking at 11 out of 12 teams being Bowl worthy (Vandy has no chance already out of contention)

Lets just say 10 out of 12 will be Bowl Eligible

so that's 10 SEC teams. Who gets left out in the SEC in the Bowl Picture ?

btw other conferences...

the Pac 10 looks like it will be sending anywhere from 6-8 teams out of 10, but more likely 6

The Big 12 could send 8-10 Teams as well out of 12, but looks like it's 8 more so than 10.

The Big Televen most likely will have 7

The ACC is looking at between 6 to 8 out of 12 most likely 7.

The Big East 5-7 teams out of 10 looking like 5.

We know at least one will have a loss (unfortunately from the SEC). Will we have another? I'm thinking at least one (Cinn. losing to Pitt) and a big maybe two (Texas to Nebraska-if they make it to the Big 12 Title game).

I keep hearing this. At face value I think it would be good for both sides.

But I am left convinved that Tubbs needs to go to a school where he is the only major state school to compete with.

If he comes back this year, my top pick is Colorado(the job should open up).

They will pay him well, he will live in a very nice area, and it is not a pressure cooker.
