Signing a football scholarship with the University of Alabama has become something of a tradition at Brooks High School.
Patrick Hape, Tim Bowens, Freddie Roach and Will Roach have all gone on to play for the Crimson Tide after outstanding prep careers with the Lions.
Evan Cardwell is well aware of that tradition and wanted to keep it going. The big offensive lineman has long dreamed of playing at Alabama, and on Tuesday committed to play for the Tide.
Cardwell (6-foot-3, 290 pounds), who will be a senior at Brooks next year, said he wanted to get his college choice out of the way so he can concentrate on the upcoming season.
