Will we miss not getting Rex Sharpe?

Most probably know that Rex Sharpe out of Fairfield committed to the Barn. They are comparing him to Karlos Dansby. From the information I've seen, we did not spend much effort trying to recruit him (maybe because he would not even consider us). What is the ranking of this guy, more info on him and any info on why we were not in the running.

Overall, is this one that we will miss?

make or break a team and therefore, could care less where he goes. If he choses the barn, then so be it. However, my belief is that overall our 3 LB's are better than Dansby was as a solo player. It's all about the team and so sure, we'd love to have him, but to your question...NO, I don't think it will hurt us if he does go to the barn.

Don't forget...

Even Karlos Dansby wasn't Karlos Dansby when he signed out of high school.

He was a lanky receiver. Tuberville moved him to linebacker and coached him up.

Rankings out of high school mean absolutely nothing.

The coaches recruit according to their own specific criteria and every coach has different standards.

Sharpe appears to be a "premier" LB recruit and I hope he'll change his mind before signing day. But Bama has never had a shortage of outstanding LBs. I wouldn't say Sharpe "will be missed" if he goes to AU.
