Article [by JessN] Game Preview: WCU @ Alabama - If game is played, Tide should ROLL

W. CAROLINA @ ALABAMA
IF GAME IS PLAYED, TIDE SHOULD ROLL

Alabama's opponent this week is scheduled to be Div-IAA Western Carolina, but may in fact end up being 140 mph winds, rain and power outages.

With Hurricane Ivan bearing down on the state, Alabama's game with the Catamounts is as likely to be postponed, moved up or even cancelled as it is to be played at 6 p.m. on Saturday. If the game goes on as scheduled, Alabama will find itself playing a team that is far better than the 5-7 Catamount team that took the field for most of 2003.

Do you really think WCU will score 21 points? Unless you are thinking they get a few scores late in the game when Bama has parts of the Band playing defense

I have to agree, 21 points give me a break. give credit where credit is due. Harmon forcasted 50 bama 6 west C. that sounds more like it.

Look for Bama to open the passing game up alot.....

and get the wr's very good experience before Bama gets in the thick of things. The running game will once again produce two 100 yrd rushers in Hudson and Darby. I'd be surprised if Brown, DJ, or Prothro isn't in the 100yrd range as well. Brodie will pass for over 225 and 3 tds.

Big A ? 21 points ?

I, like most of my fellow TIDE bretheren, am having a hard time accepting the thought of WCU scoring 3 TD's on the Tide "D". Granted, we're not the same defense we sported in 1992, but be serious,3 TD's? Look for Alabama to really open up the offense starting with the passing attack. This will be a great opprtunity for the coaching staff to test the depth charts(no matter how shallow) and look for Croyle to have a career day. My prediction? Alabama 42
WCU 6.
