Shaun Alexander -- not only for his on the field playing abilities, but also for the way he's always conducted himself off the field.
Class -- pure & simple.

My biggest pet peave? Bad grammar. Remember, it is "we were" not "we was". Also it is "I saw" and not "I seen".
IF YOU DON'T LIKE FINEBAUM DO NOT LISTEN TO HIM.......period!
There are so many great players, it's really difficult to choose just one. I'm sure it's pretty obvious my my username. Those of you who watched Johnny Musso run the ball will understand what I'm talking about. And I loved Major Ogilvie, Shaun Alexander and all the other great Alabama backs and players.

Johnny Musso, definitely ! I had the biggest crush on him while in high school
I was Johnny when I played as a kid! He was one of the greatest UA players without a doubt, but you're the first person to say they had a crush on him. Most crushes were for Major Ogalvie a few years later or Richard Todd, Terry Davis, Steadman Shealy...but not geneally the Italian Stallion!

I was a senior in HS in '99 during Alexander's incredible year. I will never forget the christian attitude he showed on and off the field. It made me think twice about my attitude on the baseball field. I will make sure one day when I have kids of my own they know Shaun. We should all be so lucky to have a role model like that.
Joe Namath. To play as hard as he did with the pain he had to endure from his knees, he was one tough cookie. But I can't leave out the Snake. He played as hard as anybody. Heck, I might as well say, all who have worn the Crimson jersey hold a special place.
Jay Barker, no doubt. He and I were there at the same time, so I feel a huge connection with him. When Barker was in, Bama was winning. Period. On the field, he only lost one game by one point that he both started and finished.

Bobby Marlowe, never tackled for a loss as a sophmore. Still remember his game against Tech. Bama's has had al ot of outstanding running backs, and has two this year, but Marlowe is my favorite of all time.
