The Future is Bright For Alabama

While I would have loved for us to be 9-2 vs 6-5 at this point, the players we have a exceptional. Look at all the youth we have. All the freshmen receivers. This young guys are always open. All of them are back for several years. Next year we will have Brodie back and even if he goes down, Spencer has really grown and is starting to feel more confortable back there. Darby and Johns are going to be back and they are animals. Just think what they will do with the improvements in the passing game. While Spencer made a few mistakes and overthrew the ball a few times early, I believe this game is what he needed. In the fourth, it came down to him just going for it and not just trying to not make a mistake. That is what he has been needing, a situation where he just had to react and not think. We know how good our defense is and most of them will be back.
I do believe that we will be the team in the West to watch.

Roll Tide!

Good post, MC...

I think our only worry for the coming season is rebuilding the OL...

That was my main concern about THIS season, and they did a pretty good job of it. May they just manage to be a little deeper there, next year.

Alabama just played the No. 3 team in the country to 8 pts. Bama had the 3rd string QB, TE, FB, and mostly used the 4th string RB. Not too shabby for a team during "the worst year of sanctions".
Plus you have to believe that we made some very good impressions on recruits yesterday. The future looks bright!

Yeah, we have some big shoes to fill in Britt and Mathis. However, I think the young men stepping up next year should do fine. They've already matured quite a bit over the course of this year, and with another year of maturity and conditioning, our hosses will be very good.

I agree that our future is bright. Next year will be a challenge, but thankfully we have some of the toughest foes in our house. This team was fun to watch at times, and there were plenty of times during the season that made me think "Shhheeeezus, we have this guy back next year, too!"
