I am afraid it could be a ploy to shuffle people into the new endzone expansion. I like my seats in the west deck, I can't handle being shifted into the endzone. I can't wait to see the real plan. If it will truly be based on the other sports ticket purchases, you could be seated anywhere in the stadium based on the points. Who knows how this will work. ROLL TIDE ROLL

I don't think it will affect your current seats...
But it will affect any future moves. It is my understanding that it will affect your standing for tickets to away games and bowl games as the new system will account for cumulative giving. For instance, I've been in Tide Pride Century level since its inception but I come behind higher levels regardless of their "tenure". I don't know the specifics but at the surface I like the new system as it does take "long term loyalty" into account.
I don't know how it will effect Tide Pride but I am a little concerned right off the bat. I knew there had to be some effects this year because of the construction so I don't know if this year is the perfect time to do this. Maybe they have thought about it and planned it out pretty well. Although, they also planned out the party at the Music City Bowl and there were a ton of us in a small space???? I'll be positive and do the preverbial wait-and-see
I have a good friend that is a UGA fan and thier season tickets are the same way and she hates it. Huge Coperations come in and buy huge blocks of seats with huge donations. She is safe now because she has been with the program long enough to have enough points, but it was touch and go for the first few years. Unfortunately its all about the money.
Also at UGA at least, the first thing she lost was her seats, but the kicker is that even with a donations you are on a very short list. She had been a subscriber for several years prior. She and her family are just normal working class and almost didnt make the cut.

I hope you are correct!
But the only program that I can go off is my buddies at Miss State. They have a club levels but it depends on your points to where you are going to sit each year. They have never been in the same seats twice. They are in the 'white dog level' and they have been in the level for about ten years. When they first started they got tickets on the 30 yard line. Now they are pushed over to the 20 yard line and it is all because of people in upper levels having more points (money) than they have. They never know what seats they have until the tickets arrive.

I have a bad feeling about this, but I am willing to listen to the change.
As long as they will not move people around.
Plus living in Gadsden and having kids, I cannot attend Basketball games and can only get to a few baseball games a year.
I am not going to purchase basketball tickets just to save my seats.

I guess I will invest in a high power AM radio for WGAD.
I am not sure how I feel about this. I attend all home and some away football games, I sure would hate to not be able to get bowl game tickets on count of this.

Being in Memphis, we make it a priority to get to as many football games as possible (home and away); but something has to give, and it is usually in the form of attending basketball and baseball games.
We do the best we can; but it may not be enough under this new system. Hopefully, it won't affect us. But if it does, the fact that I can watch every game on television starts to come into play.
I'm not paying all that money to be shifted around every season. And I can't compete with any corporations.

I have had season tickets for over 12 years and I still dont get offered away game tickets because im in the century club.
If this new point system leaves me in the same seats then thats good.If it allows me to get offered away game and bowl game tickets then thats great.
I have bought tickets to every bowl game alabama has gone to, except the music city bowl, for the last 12 years and I have yet to be offered away game tics .I just buy them from a friend who has a lux box.
I have asked about season tickets in baseball and gymnastics for 2005-06 but i hope that it will not become a requirement to buy them to stay in section N at bryant-denny.
I am planning on attending the meeting on june 23 to ask some questions about this new deal!!
I would recomend that all tide pride members be there!!!!!!
The University of Alabama wanted a fair priority system to determine who gets to purchase tickets to road football games and postseason events in several sports, Associate Athletics Director Johnny Williams said.
That's what led to Wednesday's announcement of a new points system called "Tide Totals."
It is a ranking system for individual season-ticket holders, as reported by The News on Wednesday, and will take effect Feb. 1. It is also similar to systems used by most Southeastern Conference schools.
Tuscaloosa, AL – With the University of Alabama’s athletic facilities construction and enhancements in full swing, Athletics Director Mal Moore announced today the implementation of Tide Totals, a comprehensive priority points program for the Crimson Tide’s six ticketed sports – football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and gymnastics. The Tide Totals points program will officially begin on February 1, 2006.
In the announcement, Moore emphasized that the new priority points program is not replacing the TIDE PRIDE ticket program, the school’s priority seating program since 1988. “Tide Totals will not affect TIDE PRIDE’s current per-seat/per-year donation concept, nor does it include automatic rearrangement of anyone’s current TIDE PRIDE football or basketball seats,” he said. “Tide Totals is an enhancement to our TIDE PRIDE program, taking into account each season ticket holder’s history in purchasing season tickets to Alabama sporting events, donations made to TIDE PRIDE through the years, and donations to the Crimson Tide Foundation.

I just do not like the idea that attendance at basketball and baseball games affects your status in Tide Pride. I keep up with the basketball and baseball as much as I can, but I have a job and can not drive to T-town from Birmingham that regularly.

We live in Mobile and it's 3.5 hours to Tuscaloosa one way and that's not too bad considering when most football games occur, but given the late starts for most baseball games and basketball games it would mean that I would need a second home in Tuscaloosa to get any rest. The other part of this is to wait and see what is unveiled, I am a charter member of Tide Pride (Century Club) and I've made it to Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, Independance Bowl and the Music City Bowl with tix through the university. I don't go to BBall games unless they are in the Mobile area and the same with baseball. I think the university is trying to be fair, just will have to wait to see where this all falls out.
