Also says Bama's season is teetering on brink due to inability of offense to score. (Ranked #70 in scoring offense). RTR.
Obviously they don't understand about OUR season. We've already surpassed most of our expectations. What are they talking about? 35-3 against USU wasn't scoring?
as i can remember, two of the last 5 super bowl champs (baltimore and tampa bay) won the super bowl with little to no offense.
it's not just a cliche that defense wins championships, due in large part to the fact that a defense can both stop the opposing offense AND score points.
look at the '92 bama team. what did barker hit in the championship game, 4 of 11 or something, with like 2 ints? i think it's safe to say we'd not have that 12th title had it not been for our fantastic d.
The only thing I've heard that I considered legit was their AD is supposed to sit with DF at the end of this season to talk about the future. He'd didn't give him the dreaded vote of confidence.
Add to that, the buyout from what I've read is around 140K a month which adds up to about 10 mil. With all the shirts he's burned this year it's apparent he's looking ahead to next season. With the loss of McNeal, it's going to be interesting what kind of offense they'll field...but I do see him getting another year. aTm's booster have large coin, but 10 mil?
I hear that Coach Shula is going to hire him as an assistant to our water boy to make sure all the bottles are filled properly.
I'd almost go along with that, if I didn't think he'd fill'em with Koolaid.

I think the really huge buyout clause kicks in after January 1 2006. The point of the article is that ATM might save themselves some money in the long run if they pull the trigger in 2005. RTR.
