As you might expect, I enjoy watching my teams play and win on Saturday afternoons. But I must admit, I also get a thrill seeing the teams that I hate take a beating. In fact, on some Saturdays (when the games of the teams I support are maybe not very good or significant) the thrill of watching a hated team get beat lifts me more than the wins by the teams I support. I suspect that this guilty pleasure is not somethnig unique to me. That said, here are the teams I love to see get beat, most hated at the top:
1. Miami - thugs, drugs and attitude. What else can you say?
2. Tennessee - two words - Phat Phil.
3. Nebraska - we'll get 200 schollie athletes in per year using the county-based admission system as a conduit. We'll then feed them more steroids than we give our prize bulls. And we'll run over you with the least imaginative game plan ever developed.
4. Ohio State - a team that matches the personality of their state too well. A bunch of whiny has-beens.
5. Michigan - Another whiny program headed up by the most paranoid coach in college football. i only root for them when they play THE Ohio State University.
6. Any team from the WAC. No defense AT ALL. WAAAH coach, I can't play with those boys from the SEC - they HIT ME!!!
7. Any team from California, especially USC. Prissy, tanned surfer boys.
And in a special category - The Dallas Cowboys. Hate 'em now. Hated 'em in the 70s under Landry. Will hate 'em till I die.
Anyone else out there love to see someone lose? If so whom?
