I understand that my opinion is not given much weight I don't think that naming the field will ever come to fruition,
actually, I really like the system we already have in place, Bryant-Denny Stadium is all we need, however, I do think naming the field would be an interesting addition.
Also, does anyone know if the practice field by Coleman has been given a name??
I've got a physics class in a few minutes, but I plan on taking a bunch of pictures of the "UA Seals" that have been placed on the front of the new addition, and I'll try and upload most of them this afternoon
it will take your breath away
roll tide

renaming fields every time you have a good coach is an Auburn thing, 10 years from now they will add tubby to the name and it will be too long to say.
I'd rather just see a statue of Stallings outside the stadium, its classy, its timeless, its a huge honor, plus he LOOKS like he would make a good statue.

Coach Stallings was good coach for Bama, but no field should be named after him...I tend to think that his tenure wasn't long enough to have a field named after him...plus I do lay some blame for our troubles at his feet...he was the coach during the Langum trouble and if he and Hootie had handled it correctly, nothing would have ever come of it...poor judgment on his part...good man, but no field named after him...my opinion.
I've never cared for the whole field naming thing. It seems pointless to me, like the stadium and the field are two separate entities that have nothing to do with each other.
i agree. auburn's baseball stadium (and park and field) is the worst...samford stadium at something-or-other field at plainsman park... blah.

Thats kind of like the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Californina in the United States of America which is part of North America in the Western Hemisphere
Too long and unneccesary and stupid just like Awbarn!
IMO, this "modern" UA football started started with Ray Perkins -- extended periods of mediocrity with a few flashes of what used to be. I'm 22 now and, frankly, since my freshman year of high school (1997) there hasn't been much to get excited about.

I'm excited every spring and every fall. I'm a romantic...
Oh, and the modern era starts somewhere in the 60s.

The Langam affair was as much to do with two men with hard feelings toward one another. It's sad that a personal vendetta is partly to blame for a lot of innocent players being penalized. When Stallings said he had no proof if the incident between Langam and an agent having him sign a napkin during a post game celebration in the French Quarter, that should suffice. Langam denied it happened and the coach believed in his player........Watch the NCAA state they believe Coach Carrol had no knowledge of the thousands of dollars in benefits his players such as Bush received. They may even compliment him on his diligence.

If being a fan of The University of Alabama isn't exciting enough you need to be a fan of some other team..

If you can't get excited at the mere thought of another football season, you're not much of a Bama fan. I'm giddy just thinking about it now! Is it September 2 yet?!?!
