That was a good read. Sounds like he's getting that "Crimson thang." Let's hope we get to keep him for awhile longer.

Football is king at Alabama, winner of six national championships, and in the south overall.
We have 12 National Championships, dude.

Still a good read, even if there was no research done.

The casual college football fan won't be shocked if Alabama is a ten-win type of team again simply because of the brand name, Alabama is supposed to be good,
No one is going to have a parade for an Alabama team that comes up short of a championship
A head coaching job in the future is very attainable judging from the production he has maintained at Alabama but, I'd think a good stint at DC would be the next step. How about a five year or so grooming under CJK then ........? CJK is enjoying some of his finest work now and dosn't any signs of letting up but Coach Ball is a very bright young coach. BAMATIZE HIM.

There is at least one mod out there who cringes at the thought of Coach Ball taking the reins of the D. It might be Terry and if he's reading this, I wonder if he would care to respond?
Oh I wasn't thinking DC here, just the training he could finish up under CJK. I personally do not like the idea of coaches having to take drawlin lessons.

Yes, I do "cringe" at the thought of Ball taking over the defense. But, it isn't something I worry about.
To be honest, one day we'll receive a report from a player/recruit that makes us think "he's finally getting it," but that is soon followed by another report from the same people that quickly squelches those "warm, fuzzy feelings" felt the day before.
It has been quite an adjustment for Ball coming to Alabama. Longer hours, more pressure, more eyes watching each and every move...
This year, is going to be a defining year for Ball. Considering the experience he inherited with our DB's I'm not sure an average DB coach couldn't have had the same results.
In my personal opinion, I've only seen a style of play I liked out of our DB's on a few occasions since he's been here. The last game, was Tx Tech...playing their receivers off the line, disrupting pass routes, using their body against the receivers while looking back for the ball disrupted just about any chance their Rcvr's had to get into a jump ball contest. Add to that, the addition of our 30 package has helped his DB corps a lot in the last two seasons.
