Sorry if this has been posted, mods. But, it was news to me. Connelly's quotes demonstrate to me that he still doesn't understand what it takes to compete in the SEC. http://www.al.com/search/index.ssf?/...es?salafb&coll
Also, I don't know how to rename links, so feel free to edit this. Thanks.

Re: Connelly: Chris Cpass played well vs. MSU(link)
"Said Connelly, 'We've got a great challenge in front of us in an LSU defense that's ranked No. 1 in the country (in total defense). What better opportunity for us and our players to respond and have a good game this week.' "
We are doomed.

"He's got the ability to do it," Connelly said. "The biggest challenge with him is just the belief in himself, trusting his technique and going out and getting it done."
Very interesting, so it is the technique......he's just not doing it right....ohhhh,ok.
Quote:
"We had (65) snaps in that football game and there were five or six where he looked real bad," Connelly said following practice Tuesday. "The rest of them, he did OK."
It seems that CBC would disagree w/bayoutider's thread (and stats) that shows how many times "he looked real bad."

Re: Connelly: Chris Cpass played well vs. MSU(link)
Of interest to me:
Quote:
That's the perspective of offensive line coach Bob Connelly of his junior right tackle, who struggled in pass protection against the Bulldogs and has been a favorite target for critics in Internet fan message boards.
A favorite target of defensive players too.
Quote:
But at the same time, as the Crimson Tide prepares for 12th-ranked LSU - which leads the SEC with 28 quarterback sacks - Capps and Connelly are both eager for the shot at redemption.
I'm just praying they don't double the season totals this weekend.
Andre Smith:

"I love J.P. so much," Smith said. "It's not like saying he's my mom, but it's like my mom in the backfield. I don't want anybody to hit him. That's my mentality - somebody is trying to get back there and get my mom and I'm trying to keep them away from my mom.
I love this guy!

Re: Connelly: Chris Cpass played well vs. MSU(link)
I watched the game with my father-in-law. When Titus pushed Capps back into Wilson for the sack and made him look so silly, I told my f-i-l that if I was Shula I would have looked at Connelly on the sidelines and said you need to be making calls for next year if that is the best you can do.
That performance was pathetic and the numbers that bayoutider posted bear it out. If Capps played well my six year old could play well for Bama. That is totally unacceptable.
Re: Connelly: Chris Cpass played well vs. MSU(link)
It is apparent CBC is clueless. I can't stand this. Someone please stop the INSANITY!!!!! - Oh God please someone just shoot me and put me out of my misery.
Re: Connelly: Chris Cpass played well vs. MSU(link)
Ok, CBC needs to put the crackpipe down. Wonder what game he was watching.
As Bayoutider pointed out in another post. 19 breakdowns out of 67 plays by Capps? Not too good in my opinion.
