Still trying to figure out how we lost that game.....

Oh yeah,..... Tom Brady came to play in the second half.

And, was Ellis Johnson the worst defensive coordinator we ever had or what??

Us losing that game I believe had more to do with Pflugner than with Tom Brady. You would have to tie me down to make me watch that heartbreaker again. If only we had a kicker!!!

Hey, we're up 28-14 in the third... we are dominating... Sean Alexander is going crazy....

I think I'll change the channel now and remember how it should have been.

And yes, I remember losing on that extra point miss.

I watched that game with a buddy, and after we scored he said to me.....

We should go for 2. They can't stop Alexander, and we can't stop their passing..

In hindsight, he was right.

I was at the game. When 37 ran it in for 6 in overtime, I cheered and then sat down getting ready for OT #2. I didn't even see that we missed the extra point until the Michigan fans in front of me when crazy.

If the 1st string left tackle had been able to play, Bama would have won.

Re: 2000 Alabama .vs. Michigan on ESPN Classic now

I too was at that game. I was on the opposite side of the field from the missed PAT. My seats were on the 5 yard line. I watched a Goal Line Stand happen right in front of me. I watched a Desparation Block happen right in front of me to send the game into OT. I watched Shaun Alexander arguably have his best game of the season. He would have broken all kinds of records if Samuels had played and our backup not hold on pretty much every single play forcing us into a 1st and 20 on almost every series. I watched Tom Brady climb up the NFL draft right in front of my eyes. I watched a certain Bama DB who wore #13 help Tom Brady break records. What I didn't see...was the missed PAT. All I could see was around 35,000 people in blue and yellow go nuts after we kicked the ball. How is it that Alabama loses a bowl game that has an amazing Bama RB, a goal line stand, and a desparation block all in the same game? Totally blew my mind when we lost. No one was ****ed...we were all confused.

Also...I would like to apologize because I was a senior in HS...which meant I didn't go to all the games...but I was at every single loss that year...LA Tech...UT...Michigan. (sigh)

I remember that game It was a warm night in Miami, I was ending a season that allowed me to go to 18 yes 18 college football games in one season.
13 regular season games, The SEC championship game and FOUR bowl games.
I saw the Peach, Citrus, and Orange in Twenty four hours.
Man, What a season. But I remember the end of that game and it SUCKED!
