TUSCALOOSA - The hype surrounding Nikita Stover preceded him. As a two-way star at Hartselle High, he helped create it. State high-jump championship as a sophomore. An eye-popping 27 yards per catch as a junior. By his senior season, he was one of the most coveted receiver prospects in the country.

Then came academic ineligibility and a trip to Itawamba Community College in Fulton, Miss. Then came the wait. In some ways, those at the University of Alabama are still waiting.

to have three consistent receivers would give Defensive Coordinators fits. Lets hope a bunch of our back ups can step up and just be positions fillers.

From the sounds of it we have 4 great receivers.

We definitely have potential at that position. I keep thinking about Josh Reed. Man, if we have someone step up and play at that level we'll be doing okay.

Who needs a TE when you can just go 4-Wide like we can? Put those slot guys in the flats like Florida did with Leak and let them turn upfield after the catch.

True but as it seems so far we really only have two that have proved to be deep threats, others have merely shown glimpses of greatness, and even KB has had his problems...I also figure that we'll be running a single back set which means we probably won't have 4 WR out there but i could be wrong.

A single back set with no TE = 4 WR set

Re: Stover tires of waiting game to help Tide offense

It looks like we will have 4 great rec. on our team, probably more. We will be able to put 4 great receivers on the field at one time. I can't remember a time we were this good at the receiver spot.

I hope JPW is on target this year more than ever. He has a good arm, field presence, good feet...so if he can pick up the plays along with the receivers,,,wow.
