I noticed that LF had picked up the Florida at Ole Miss game for that week. But still have heard nothing about what CBS and ESPN are doing.
Anyone know?

Never mind, I found the article that says CBS is using the six-day selection.
It will either be 2:30 CBS or 6:45 ESPN.

Kentucky at Arkansas is on ESPN2

They will make the decision on Sunday. Frankly, I think regardless of the outcome of our game, CBS will take the LSU game because they are a serious national title contender...and then there is Spurrier on the other side. Also, there is little to no chance that LSU loses this weekend. The only chance I give to us being the CBS pick is if South Carolina loses big to South Carolina State. Anybody want to give odds on that happening?

I think CBS is telling the world, "We want to broadcast an undefeated Alabama." The Alabama/Arkansas game is the only game without an already determined outcome. LSU will beat MTSU, and USC will beat South Carolina State. If Alabama beats Arkansas, Alabama/UGA will be on CBS.

There is this possible scenario - CBS MAY have selected LSU's game. But LSU may be trying to hold onto a night game (which they prefer) over CBS. The SEC may have played mediator by suggesting they wait and see if they would have as good of a story line and audience with an "undefeated Alabama" as they would with BCS-Champs-In-Waiting vs The Visor.

TideA, what you are saying makes good sense. We need to get the Ark game. If this goes our way, we will begin to get the attention of the media.
Re: Are we still waiting on a Georgia kickoff time??
Of the 4 teams in question Bama has by far the biggest national audience, and UGA probably 2nd. An undefeated Bama team is a big draw, so if they beat Arky I suspect Bama game will get considered. Of course having Spurrier facing the #2 team in the land is also a big TV draw, so it's a win-win scenario for CBS right now.
If Arky wins then LSU-USC gets CBS. If Neb upsets Southern Cal and LSU vaults to #1, then LSU-USC gets CBS. If Bama wins and LSU stays #2, then it's probably a toss-up.
Overall I would bet on LSU-USC getting the slot, but as posted above, LSU prefers nite games and that is probably a factor as well.
On a side note, Steve Spurrier is 8-3 on the road since taking over at USC, and one of those road losses was a one-pointer to national champs Florida last year. He has wins in Athens and in Knoxville. Just food for thought.
