Ya know, JP may not come out and throw 30 TD's and go in the first round, but he's got something in him thats very special. It's been obvious from day one, and everyone has said something about it. He's got heart. He's got that intangible it factor that some quarterbacks have and others don't. I wouldn't trade him for anybody. We love ya JPW, and we're behind ya ll the way.
He came back and got us down the field twice, like a winner. He has alot of work to do. Those turnovers are going to cost us sooner or later.
I am not as worried about the turnovers as the amount of air he puts under his long passes. A team with a secondary like LSU isn't going to allow any of them to be caught. But he is amazing with passes in the 5-15 yard range, and he showed great leadership last night...
He stepped up when he needed to. I wonder if he would have needed to were he able to make a decent pass on 3rd down, however. I applaud him for being a leader when it counted, but I stand by what I've said about floating passes.
Can't hate on the guy that just led our first highly important and successful 2-minute drive since... well, since out of memory. However, he's still got a lot of work to do, because his tendency to loft (even in the swing out game, as we saw yesterday) can't continue.

The air he puts under those passes turns the route into a hail mary/jump ball situation. Better teams will pick every one of them off all day. The kid has a good are because there were passes last night he fired across the field. He just floats the ball too much. And we got do something about that little throwing off the back foot!!!

ditto. And he goes about his business without ever getting too high or too low...quiet confidence...

...umm, yeah, like getting the OL to pass block better. Big AS got beat more last night than I've seen him beat in the last year plus...

...umm, yeah, like he's been throwing off his back foot when he's had time and no pressure. Our passing blocking wasn't much better last season and he didn't throw off his back foot like he as done this season.

I think this game should be a confidence booster. Don't forget, this isn't the first time JPW has led the team down the field late in the game. He seems to have some of the intangibles that a player needs to have to win. I hope the confidence carries over from this game...
Having said that, he has had some problems early in the year but like Tiffin I do not think it is anything that he is unable to overcome. He has the talent to be a winner.
