Check out SMU's possible replacements. Major might be considered , but It think he is smart enough to know he prob isnt ready ( at least in my opinion, others may differ ). What I think is funny is Fran being considered for it. Can you imagine the press conference ?

Well it would keep him in Texas, I think one of the myriad reasons given when he left Alabama was that he LOVED Texas. Isn't it kind of ironic that NCAA sanctions supposedly scared him away from Alabama, and he might go to the only school to ever receive the worst NCAA sanction available?

Turner Gill May be a good up and coming coach but i don't see Nebraska taking a gamble on him at this point. Paul Johnson would be a good fit.

CMA wanted to play for Bama all his life...DuBose didn't offer him a scholarship.

Yeah, it should have been apparent that I was talking about Fran, given the comments about always wanting to be in Texas and leaving Alabama for fear of NCAA sanctions. Prior to now, I don't think CMA was ever at Alabama, maybe I'm wrong.

Some of those rumors are ridiculous.

Cam Cameron to Michigan? Butch Davis to Arkansas?

Both coaches have been at their respective jobs for just a year. Too early for either of them to be leaving for Arkansas (step down for Cameron, lateral move for Davis).

Also, why would Kragthorpe go from Lousiville (one of the better Big East teams...most years) to SMU? He just left one of the better teams in that conference. Why would he go back to a worse team?
