With RP and the talnet at WR and RB that we have...offense will be sick
We lose some of defense...but we have a loooooottt of talent coming in
Geuax tigers
Wouldn't doubt it.
I imagine it will be close between LSU and Auburn at the top of the SEC West, simply because the rest of the SEC West likely won't be that good unless 'Bama can surprise everyone, including most 'Bama fans, and make a big surge for the West crown in 2008.
The big difference will be overall. This year LSU came in as the unanimous favorite in the SEC, but next year even if you guys are the favorite in the West, both Georgia and Florida will be the favorites to win the SEC as a whole.
One more thing about Perrilloux, and I'm not trying to be a goober fan here, but I think it's a valid point... People shouldn't start penciling in Perrilloux just yet. He's been in legal trouble three times in the past nine months, and one more incident and he's likely kicked off the team. To be quite frank, I'm not sure that he can stay out of trouble to keep from getting kicked off the team. Of course it might happen, but one way or the other it is a big question mark.

Because they don't lose Slaton and White and check their defensive stats, they will obviously surprise you.
I stand corrected on white/slaton, but stand by the defensive comment. playing sotp will easily pad your stats, their defense isn't very good, uconn put up 500+ yds against them. but I did notice on their roster they have maybe 10 players from wvu, many players from fl, some from every southern state, pa, virginia, etc. can you sustain a program recruiting mainly out of state talent. I know OU does, but they draw from one state, texas and always have, Michigan draws heavily from Ohio, but wvu is not michigan and OU
after watching the big12 title game last night, and realizing the number of starters they have coming back next year (they could loose a few to the draft, early), oklahoma will be my pre-season number one, not that my vote means squat.
They should be number one now and playing in the BCS game. Ohio State didn't have the pressure of winning a conference championship game, and LSU lost to an unranked team (KY) and the team ranked 25th (ARK). Remember, it is the final ranking that teams are measured by, not the ridiculous "opinions" during the season.

According to the latest recruiting services, you don't have a loooooottt of talent coming in, just a looott.

Just curious...how many of OU's 2 losses were to ranked teams? Anyone? Anyone? Buehler?? <crickets>

I don't think that is a particularly strong argument.
LSU lost to Kentucky (unranked) and Arkansas (24th in one poll, and 23rd in another). Oklahoma lost to Colorado (unranked), and then to Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are currently unranked, but receiving the most votes of any unranked team, and thus are the de facto #26 team in the country.
So, LSU lost to an unranked team and a team ranked 23rd / 24th. Oklahoma lost to an unranked team and a team effectively ranked 26th. That is the essentially the same thing if you ask me.
Bottom line, both teams lost two games each to mediocre-at-best teams that they should have blown out of the water.

Two. You can find this information very easily on the internet. I can't believe that, being enough of a fan of college football that you spend time on other teams sites, you didn't know this.
