First of all, of course I knew that OU's two losses were to unranked teams. The argument in favor of OU over LSU was that LSU lost to an unranked KY, and Arky...which brings me to my next point...
Arky is ranked.
I don't know WHO deserves to play in the BCSNCG. I said as much last night on this forum that if it's LSU, they will have backed in...as will ANYONE else.

I don't think that is a particularly strong argument.
LSU lost to Kentucky (unranked) and Arkansas (24th in one poll, and 23rd in another). Oklahoma lost to Colorado (unranked), and then to Texas Tech. The Red Raiders are currently unranked, but receiving the most votes of any unranked team, and thus are the de facto #26 team in the country.
So, LSU lost to an unranked team and a team ranked 23rd / 24th. Oklahoma lost to an unranked team and a team effectively ranked 26th. That is the essentially the same thing if you ask me.
Bottom line, both teams lost two games each to mediocre-at-best teams that they should have blown out of the water.
That was my exact point. If you're gonna say LSU lost to unranked teams, first of all...check the rankings...and secondly, check the rankings of the OU losses, since you're saying they should be ahead of LSU based on LSU's two losses, which you incorrectly identify as being against unranked teams.
(Not you, BETider...just using your post as an example of what I also believe. Both teams lost games they should have won)

I ask this question in all honesty, not trying to be a smart ...... What in the world are you doing on this site? I love college football, and especially my alma mater Alabama. I graduated from Alabama and my father was on Bryant's first 3 teams at Alabama. But it is of zero interest to me to take the time to go to another team site to see what is going on there. I couldn't care less. Is it the Saban thing, or what? What interests you so much about Alabama that you to spend so much time on the Alabama site? Seriously.

I enjoy the conversation here...MOST of the time. I'm here all the time, why ask now? I've been posting here for a while now, and I don't talk any smack. But I'm not afraid to debate with facts, which is what I was doing with you. You say LSU lost to unranked teamS...(incorrect)...and you said it in defense of OU, which HAS lost to only unranked teams.

I think you nailed it there.
Some LSU people are seemingly getting their panties in a wad on here because some are saying that they don't deserve to be in the national championship game. And they most certainly don't deserve to be there. Then again, no one else deserves to be there either. LSU doesn't deserve it, nor does Oklahoma, nor USC, nor Virginia Tech, nor Ohio State, nor...
It's just that by definition, someone must go, and someone must win, therefore you, by default, have a "champion."
Regardless of who wins it, I think this year's "champion" goes down as the worst in ages. I would put this year's "champion" even worse than 1990 Colorado. Whoever wins it has no right being mentioned in the same breath with nearly all of the national championship teams we have had in the modern era of college football. I say we all decide to pull a Mark Ecko and brand an asterisk on the side of the crystal football.

I'll take up for Fishead, I like having him around here, and the same goes for most of the other LSU fans we have around here. That's one of the neat things about TideFans, there is actually good discussion even amongst rival fans. You can't get that any other place.

I agree, but if it happens to be LSU, I'll take it gladly...as would any of you if it happened to be Bama.
Just an aside, don't be surprised to see LSU #1 over tOSU when the BCS does come out. Not likely, but it will be VERY close...the computers HATE tOSU with their OOC schedule, and the Big 10 sucking this year hurts them too.

I agree, but it is good having a diseenting comment to keep you balanced. the three or four lsu fans regularly on this board generally are tolerable, but I think the interest level picked up after Saban, and maybe they liked the board, sure beats a tiger board for talking football in general, unless your trying to get tiger info! the opposite view is good from tennessee and the other vol poster that regularly visits. but you know deep down, its the ALABAMA FOOTBALL mystique that keeps'em coming back!
