Re: ESPN the Mag article: A love-hate relationship
Not good, a UA/AU a love-hate relationship with a baby boy involved. lol At least the boy was saying Rolll Tide! I feel for the Father and him with a Mother that would make him wear Allbarn stuff.

Re: ESPN the Mag article: A love-hate relationship
I didn't marry an auburn grad, but did marry a fan. Living proof that it can work since we've been married for 30 years, but will admit it's annoying at times. Especially a couple of years ago in T town when he spent the day holding up his thumb. I wanted to reach over and break it off by the end of the day, but managed to resist the urge.
As noted above, however, while he may be an au fan, the season tickets are in Tuscaloosa! You know, as they say, if Mama ain't happy, ain't NOBODY happy!
No problem with the kids, they have always been Bama fans. They recognized early on that it was Mama proving the money and doing things for them, and they are definitely not stupid.
Re: ESPN the Mag article: A love-hate relationship
I married a UT grad. Her family are fans of UT football. Her dad took her to games as a kid. We went to games early in our relationship, she dressed in arange and me in my crimson and white. Then, one night several years ago, we went to a movie in Knoxville. The UT football team walked into the theater and they all were dressed in black track suits. None of them smiled, not one said anything to the fans, that I saw. They really looked like thugs, my wife's words, not mine. Since then she has pulled for the Tide, talks about the class our boys displayed in the games and off the field. He He, now she even wears crimson to the games.....
Re: ESPN the Mag article: A love-hate relationship
Friends don't let friends date or marry Barn fans. The dad is getting what he deserves for marrying a cow kisser.

I'm married to an Ole Miss grad, but they don't count...
