Tight ends figure heavily in offense

Here’s a trivia question for University of Alabama football fans about the upcoming season: Name the only position the Crimson Tide has two active seniors with career starts.

Wide receiver would be a good guess, but Will Oakley isn’t active while recovering from a stress fracture. Instead, the correct answer is tight end, where Nick Walker and Travis McCall are about as different as can be both on and off the field.

“If they continue to develop, we’re going to have a good situation at that position,” head coach Nick Saban said.

Re: Tight ends figure heavily in offense

I like it!!
We are going to have a lot more options for making positive things happen this year!!
Oposing defenses will not know whether to scratch their watch or wind their butts!!
There is an exciting year unfolding!!

ROLL TIDE!!

Re: Tight ends figure heavily in offense

I have been waiting for us to incorporate more TE offense for years. Keeps the linebackers honest.

Re: Tight ends figure heavily in offense

I have to agree, it seems like for years the tight end has been an afterthought in our offense. (Or no thought at all). The more I see and read of Coach Mac's offense, every available receiver had better be ready, because they're all going to get the ball.
