Yes, just like Tebow and Moreno, LSU fans got hold of his cel number and harassed him tot he point he'll have to change his number.
Classy fans.
That being said, the fact he was called for the penalty when it's gone uncalled twice previously reinforces my belief that the SEC officials are beyond subpar.
Well, that and the eleventy-billion interference calls against Julio that were never called...
IMO the penalty was uncalled-for. On the other hand, JPW shouldn't have given the LSU fans the satisfaction of knowing their calling his cellphone had annoyed him.

Let the scoreboard do the talking.
What he said!!!!
Maintain your poise in spite of the situation around you.
The penalty was uncalled for, as was the shove the official gave JPW before throwing the flag.
If the ref was upset, he ought to just throw the flag. He had no business laying a hand on the players.
I saw that shove and was raisin' cain about the ref putting his hands on JPW when he wasn't breaking up contact or anything! The shove was totally unnecessary and, IMHO, very telling of the ref's mindset.
I'm slowly but surely beginning to learn the "special rules" SEC Refs have come up with just for BAMA.
So Far:
1. You can't stand flat-footed after a touchdown.
2. You can't touch your thumb to your helmet with your pinky sticking out.
I've realized they're several more that only apply to BAMA, or don't apply to BAMA such as "interference with a fair catch" when BAMA is on the receiving end... but I haven't quite learned them all yet.

I agree. JPW shouldn't have done it.
Don't give them reason to throw a flag...they (the refs) are creative enough on their own.
That penalty basically all but gave them a touchdown (lsu) due to field position.

At this point the players should understand that there is a different standard applied to Alabama, figure it out and quit giving them a reason.
Secondly I've been watching football at every level since the 70's and I've NEVER seen a ref shove a player not involved in a fight until last night. In my opinion that ref should be suspended. Mal should absolutely lodge a protest for that action.
In my eyes, the ref grabbed Wilson to try to get him to stop it. When Wilson blew him off the ref threw the flag. I've got no problem with the call. I hope Wilson enjoyed himself, he cost the team 15 yards.

I agree. He should not have done it. No matter if the Ref should not have called it. That penalty could have messed up the field goal and caused us to miss the field goal.
It was stupid and im sure Nick Saban tore into him about it. Act like you have been there before.
