When you can score 50 + pts/game, how much defense do you have to play? This team is going to beat Texas Tech in two weeks and more than likely move up to no. 2 in the rankings.
Well in that league, defense is an after thought. However, should they get a chance to play Bama, they better learn to play a little defense. You can't score if you don't have the ball.

I understand where you're coming from, but winning 50-38 isn't any better than 24-10, IMHO.

I beg to differ about defense being an afterthought in the Big 12. Offenses have gotten the better of defense this season, but don't think for a minute that defense has been forgotten in Norman. Sooner fans are up in arms about the performance of OUR defense this season. Defense has been the cornerstone of OU's sucess over the years. When OU was running the bone and putting up ridiculous stats, it was defense that won a lot of those ballgames. You might remember some names like Selmon, Bosworth, Casillas, and many others. i know Bama's D is real stout, I've watched you guys several times this season. I wonder how your defensive stats would look like if you faced the kinds of offenses the Big 12 has? All I'm saying is don't base your opinion about the Big 12 on one season.

I think it's Toby Keith. Or maybe Garth Brooks impersonating Toby Keith.

Some fans must simply enjoy being consistently negative, I think.

Um, I think this season is the only one that anyone is talking about. I haven't seen anyone say that the Big 12 never played defense.
