I wanted Ohio St. but that will not happen. Unless something happens in the meantime we play Utah. A lot of Tide fans wanted OSU as did I. I will look at Utah and see what kind of team they are.

I've read a bit about Utah and apparently, they run a spread offense like Florida (no surprise considering that's where Meyer was before UF) but their QB Johnson is no Tebow and they don't have as much speed as UF.
I'm not sure what they do on D but their secondary is said to be pretty good.
Their schedule this year looks pretty soft. Signature wins include winning a squeaker at home against Oregon St mid-year, TCU 13-10 and beating BYU 48-21 in their last game. Beating Michigan to start the year looked great then but it didn't turn out to be anything special in the worst year for Michigan in a very long time. Other wins were over UNLV, San Diego State, Wyoming, Weber State, Utah State, Air Force, Colorado State and New Mexico.
Looks like we might get a second chance to play the kind of game we wanted to play against Florida: ball control on offense, take away the middle of the field and cutback runs on D and hopefully our corners will play a bit better man to man on deep outside routes. If we can do that, we'll win.
I agree, Graytide. There's a long list of other teams that have taken this team lightly over the years, and many of them were not just beaten by the Utes but beaten soundly.
Utah is florida without Charile Strong's defense and no Tebow. They run the spread just like florida and have a good qb.

I just asked my magic 8-ball and it said Georgia/Hawaii 2007 part II. I'm not sure what that means...
Utah is not Hawaii from last year. They have at least played a few BCS conference teams. Don't get me wrong, we should win, but make no mistake they are a good team who at least has a decent defense, unlike Hawaii.
Playing Utah like fighting a freshman. If you win no one cares, but if you lose everyone will be quick to tell you how terrible you are. Please give us Ohio State!
For the second year in a row, the Sugar Bowl gets stuck with the non-BCS-conference at-large qualifier. Not exactly a glamorous match-up, and I would prefer a "big name" opponent, but this Tide team really needs to focus and end the season on a high note with a win. To finish 13-1 and #3 or so in the country would be tremendous!
