I think he might go in the 6th or 7th round. This years SR QB class is pretty weak and he did not make many mistakes thought the year. If you look past Daniel and Harrell you don't find much. There are only a couple of teams I think he could make as a 3rd string but I see him getting cut early.
Yeah, the fact that there are not many QB's this year makes me wonder whether some NFL team might sign him. I'm just not sure what the need is in the pro's right now.
He'd certainly have to learn to check off receivers better than he currently does.
In all seriousness, I think he should give Hollywood a try. The dude is very good looking, but still has an approachable quality about him. He could probably get a good role on a soap opera. He can always move back to the South as the beauty fades. Another option is in sportscasting, as in the next Kirk Herbstreit.
I'm not sure of what John Parker's major is, but if he's smart, he could rack up being a sales rep in the state of Alabama. ANY type of rep. It doesn't even matter if he knows what he's talking about. Customers would buy from the company just for a chance to meet him. He has absolutely nothing to worry about as long as he stays in the SouthEast.
And on an Auburn board a few weeks back, Mark Green was talking about how UA always "took care of its players after they graduated." He doesn't understand that the reputation they gain from playing for a legitimate team actually takes care of them.

Didn't Green have one of his testicles removed. Could explain his whinning.
Who is Tom Green.

can someone explain to me the whole situation with him being drafted by the marlins and electing to come to bama. that offer doesn't still stand?
No. The cliff notes version is once he started classes at UA he couldn't be drafted again for three years or until his 21 birthday, whichever came first. He could start playing again and be drafted. I think this would be his last year to play though. His first semester after grey-shirting was in the spring, baseball season. That would have been his redshirt year. This was his fourth year of football without taking a redshirt, so this is his 5th baseball season to be in school. I know a lot of guys still get drafted even when they didn't play in college. Dennis Dixon at Oregon, Pat White was drafted two years in a row. May get drafted again in June. I, for one, wish he would give it a shot. I know he said if Rich Rod had been hired as the coach he would have left football and played baseball.

You're correct about the SR class at QB. JR Matt Stafford from georgia will be one of the top QBs drafted this year. Stafford is ranked as the #1 QB followed by OU SOPH Sam Bradford and USC's JR Matt Sanchez. There are no SR QB's listed as going in the 1st round.

That wasn't JPW. That was his brother, Ross, who plays infield for the Tide baseball team. Ross is a sophomore this year, and to the best of my knowledge, the offer stands.
Whatever he does, I wish him the very best. He is one tough kid, and he always seemed to be trying his hardest and it seemed to truly bother him when we lost. That's all you acn ask for out of someone.
