Re: Who are some of Your FAV. Bama Players

i know there are so many better players to come through but my hero is Rashad Johnson.

he is everything ive ever wanted. a no-name recruit who walked on and became a star. IMO his is one of the most amazing stories i have ever heard.

John Mangum and Lane Bearden. 2 of the toughest SOBs to step foot on the football field. Lots of heart.

Cool Re: Who are some of Your FAV. Bama Players

Been Bama for over half a century, so like Bay, the list would be too long.

But as far as the more modern times, with the NFL taking underclassmen,
those who complete their eligibility, when they are good enough to go, have a special place in my heart.

Just my opinion, an just one example, being the most recent;
but A. Smith will never hold my respect like A. Caldwell.

I'm not good at lists like this because I could include so many! But, one of my early favorites was a guy who showed all us little guys that you don't have to be the biggest guy on the field to be successful. And that was Joey Jones.

I remember when Bearden was punting with the torn ACL and as the last line of defense had to lay some dude out with a great hit.

He's been one of my fav's ever since.
