Re: Acronyms ..what do they mean?

How about SOS when referencing Steve Spurrier. I always figured it stood for Steve "The Old Ball Coach" Spurrier. Can someone clarify that for me?

more like jj2j

That's bad on my part. Was he ever convicted? Sorry, off topic I know... I would have done anything (that is legal) to be able to wear that Crimson jersey and run out in front of 92 or 101,000 screaming Bama fans. He had a very bright future IMHO. To throw it all away for something so stupid, again IMHO, is unbelievable.
Anyway, enough of that.....................ROLL TIDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOS =
Stephen Orr Spurrier (born April 20, 1945 in Miami Beach, Florida) is a former American football player and currently the head coach of the University of South Carolina football team. He was a two-time All-American and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame as a player. He is best known for winning the Heisman Trophy in 1966, and for coaching the University of Florida football team to six SEC championships during his tenure there, which encompassed the seasons 1990–2001. He also led the Gators to one National Championship in 1996.
