After nearly 4 years in the shadows of this website, I have finally decided to post. After reading many great insightful post especially in football and recruiting, I figured I would like to start putting my 2 cents into the mix, especially since I am now out of my comfort zone. Little background on me, I am 23 years old and grew up in the middle of the bayou bengal country about 30 mins east of Baton Rouge but I was blessed enough to be a Crimson Tide fan since the day I was born. I never have had more fun then last year in Tiger Stadium and then afterwards in my life( first time actually witnesses BAMA beating the Tigers in person) especially when all your friends are die-hard Tigers. But I recently got married and moved to Nashville(wife got a job at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital). So I see alot of BAMA license plates and was wondering where a good place to watch a game this fall or just to met up with some other BAMA fans. So any insight would be helpful and I hope to have something smart and helpful input to give back to all the great input I've heard on here the past 4 years.
Glad to have you aboard. I joined a week ago but did not put a post to introduce myself. I hope you like Nashville. Its a nice city with friendly people. I went to Nashville for a dental school interview. The people around the city were great when I went to eat and look around. Get yourself ready for a great season. Roll Tide!!!
jeremy, there's a nice little sports bar right off the Vandy campus. I'll check with my stepson who lives there and get the name of it to send to you. There's a huge one with many TV sets over by Opryland and Super Bass, or whatever that store is. However, you can't hear anything...

We have Alumni Associations everywhere...and they usually gather together to watch the Tide play on Saturdays in the fall. I want to say once the season rolls around you can go here...Alabama Alumni Association...and they will have them listed by city. I found a bar in Atlanta last year to watch the Bama/LSU game and it was great! Wall-to-wall Bama fans going nuts!
RTR!

Wilhagen's is the place to go for all things BAMA. The owner is an alum and the place is full of pretty much nothing but BAMA fans on gameday. You'll have to get there early and be prepared to be in a big crowd. It's off Murfreesboro Rd and not in a great part of town. From where I live now, it's not really worth the drive.
I think the place Earle is referring to is Sam's on 21st Avenue. The other place he mentioned out by Opryland is Dave and Buster's, unless it's changed again. It's the one with bowling alleys, arcade, etc. Kind of a sports bar with a Chucky Cheese in it. An okay place if that's your cup of tea, but if you like a smaller setting, there are tons of other options.
Otherwise, depending on what part of town you are in, there are sports bars all over the place. The alumni association suggestion is a good one. Last I recall, they meet in the Brentwood/Franklin/Cool Springs area.
Feel free to PM me or any other Tidefans member come football season. We usually stay at home and have people over for a full day of grilling, football, etc.
