RF is a fine gentleman, and I miss him on the air. He is as nice in person, also (even if he did use to date my wife).
I hope at least he didn't call her "Holly, dear."

If that incident was truly the reason Franklin was pulled from ESPN's primetime coverage, then that's beyond idiotic. I may be among the few who didn't really mind Mike Patrick in that role -- but I thought Patrick was much better suited to calling NFL games than college football. Franklin was a natural replacement to Keith Jackson as the dean of college football announcers -- pulling him was just another bone-headed programming decision by those idiots in Bristol.

Speaking of bone-headed, I'm having trouble seeing how Matt Millen providing color on college football broadcasts is going to end well.

Alabama is 2- and 3-deep all over the place with full grown, meaner-than-he!! men. It's almost not fair making college kids play against them. Any Saban-coached team is going to be deep as he!! with recruits that have elite size, strength and experience at their position and they are going to play with incredible physicality.
I support PAWS.

I don't care about anyone or anything mentioned above because you guys missed the most important part!

Erin Andrews, who adds the Saturday game to her ESPN Thursday night series role.

That's the type of news that will make a grown man cry!
