Re: Top Three Things That Concern You About Upcoming Season
The offensive line concerns me somewhat; having a "go to" opposite Julio; and the health of McElroy (i.e. him staying healthy - scared to death of what might happen where we to lose him).

3. Making it through fall training without any injuries.
2. Finding another go to receiver.
1. How will the fans react when we go up against someone so jacked up they could defeat the NE Pats that week and get beat?
I fear this will be the Ole Miss game
It's not that I have penciled that game in as a loss, but I see way too many Alabama fans thinking we'll waltz into Oxford and win comfortably. I believe Alabama is more talented than Ole Miss, and has a better coaching staff, but I consider the following: We've won the last four by no more than 4 points each time. So, Ole Miss will be hungry beyond belief to beat Alabama and unless they crash and burn early, they will be jacked up with a national tv audience, perhaps gameday, it might be at night... It will be a great atmosphere in the Grove. With all that, BAMA can still go in there and win. And who knows, Ole Miss might just flame out anyway. But at this point, I'm thinking its our toughest game ahead of LSU and Virginia Tech.
My other concerns are about the same as everyone else. Finding replacements for Smith, Caldwell and Davis on the OL and staying injury free. The kind of injury luck we had last year doesn't happen often.

I think that if they're undefeated going into the Bama game, HDN will have them convinced before kickoff that it's a W for Ole Siss, while CNS will be bringing his Happy Face to the sideline.

I have no doubt Coach Saban will have the team pumped. The Georgia game last year comes to mind. I just know that the Nutt has always had a thorn in his side about Alabama for some reason. And he's always been good about having his teams ready to play the Tide.

Interestingly, it seemed the louder the drumbeat grew from the national media, which almost in unison aimed its poison darts at Saban for his unseemly stream of denials, the more united and defiant Tide fans grew in support of their man

Not to sound like CNS, but that has no bearing on this years game.
Well, that's true. I guess as a fan, I look at something like that and wonder when does the good fortune run out. Last year we were coming off a year where we lost 6 games by 7 points or less and we thought, if we can improve, it will make a difference in a few games. We improved by a whole lot but I don't guess the point differential of the previous year's losses had anything to do with us winning the games in 2008.
Well hell, in any event, I do expect the Ole Miss game to be the toughest SEC game, no disrespect to our other SEC opponents intended. Except to Auburn. I intend to disrespect them. And Tennessee too.
