Please try to remember that many of the participants on TideFans live in other parts of the country and are not privy to the media in Alabama.
That being said, I must admit that from time to time I do read the Scout Auburn message board. First, something has happened there as the preoccupation with Alabama seems to have undergone a slight letup. Until recently just about half the posts were about bammers and SPUAT (whatever that is). My guess is that the mods over there have pulled back a little on the absurdities that were spewing out all over the place. Anybody know anything about that?
Second, and the subject of this post, who is Mark Murphy? Many of the sticky posts are by him and there are no responses. Zero. From time to time (LIke when he is mentioning one of the guys we are recruiting) I click on his post, but there is nothing there but a link to an article I am forbidden to read. I also read the Alabama, Wake Forest and North Carolina Scout boards, and there is nothing like Murphy on any of them.
Third, I tried to post a response to one of their posts, and I was "forbidden." Could it have been that my name on there is ncbama1? Those folks are paranoid about having "bammers" in sheeps clothing posting on their board.
If you have not read the AU board, you should for the sheer entertainment of it. I had no idea those folks felt as strongly as they do about "bammer."
Now let me end with a little secret. I'll bet half of those bammer slammers are closet "bammer" fans. They have to hide it behind the bravado.

All those posts you see by him are just teaser links, to get you to sign up for their premium service. Bayou's right, MM is an admin there. The whole staff there is black helicopter-crazy, but the worst one is Murphy's sidekick, Mark Green. I think they've just started refusing posting rights to any username identifiable as Bama-related...

I got zapped a month or so ago. Probably my email address gave me away but I only read and never posted.

I've re-read this twice and conclude we need to help you find a job,,,, maybe two.
I was zapped also from the scout barn board. My user name was crimson hellicopter! They should give away medication over there after you reach a certain number of posts. Even the educated auburn types that I called "friends" have lost it. Saban Fever is running high. They have thrown in the towel, they have no faith they can beat us with hard work on a level playing field. They believe the only way we can be stopped is by the ncaa. It is really sad and pathethic. But I would be lying if were to say that I'am not loving every minute of it. RTR!

I don't even have a Bama username. I post occasionally as Taass on Bama's Scout board. I applied for the Auburn board and was summarily denied. I guess they did a post history search.

One of the mods, friend of mine, on one of the Bama boards, and a mod especially hated by the bovine-lovers, is an AU grad. Married a Bama girl and saw the light. I get a chuckle out of their attacks on him...

I actually went to school at Auburn for two years. There were a variety of reasons I didn't go to UA.

I know a dude that is planning on transferring to Auburn only because they have agronomy and UA doesn't. He will decorate his apartment in full Alabama crimson and white, and will only buy Auburn tickets to the big games that come into town. If he goes to a game, he'll wear Alabama colors and cheer for Auburn's opponent...unless it's Tennessee.
