Earle not only were they an uncompassionate bunch, especially Shelia himself but they failed many of the players. There were too many that were allowed to slip through the cracks. The promises that were made to many moms, dads, aunts, uncles, high school coaches etc... whoever was responsible for the kid at the time of recruitment were left unfulfilled. I really believe many of their personal lives may have turned out differently had we had a different staff. Posted via Mobile Device
Hearing that totally p*sses me off, makes me want to slap somebody, we are ALABAMA, stuff like that goes on in the north it's not allowed in the south and most especially at the U of A.

Reason: No need to bring the Japanese into it.

The fact is that, when we tried to leak some of the stuff that was going on, we got jumped by people who reminded us that nobody else wanted our job and that Shula did us an enormous favor by taking the job - none of which is true, BTW...

Now that's a doggone shame. My condolences go out to the Murphy family and I really hope someone comes forward with some info to catch the bastard that did it.
Re: Kerry Murphy's Brother Found Dead Inside Of Car
Very sad to hear. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kerry and his family.

Well, how about Ramzee Robinson being told he couldn't go home for his grandmother's funeral (she raised him), and, when he went anyway, being penalized? A cold bunch...
Man, I had NO IDEA this kind of garbage was going on. That was a TOTAL lack of compassion.
I know the current staff will embrace the sadness that Kerry is experiencing. Loss of a family member is HARD! I've been there.
My prayers are with you Kerry!

Tide coach Nick Saban offered this statement about Murphy's situation ... "Kerry went home today and it is our intent to help and support him in any way possible as he spends time with his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Kerry and his family during this difficult time."
Looks like our current coach actually cares for the players!
Hang in there Kerry!

All you have to do is listen to the interviews of CNS' former players...

I am a strong believer in "what goes around, comes around." Those people will get theirs. We may never see or know about it, but you do not treat your fellowman like that, especially those that need help, and especially those that are at a young age - still growing up.
I pray for Kerry Murphy and his family that they'll have the peace and comfort to get through this tragedy.

I had the opportunity to hear a conversation where Coach Saban was talking about his players. Believe me when I tell you that he intends to make a positive impact on each of their lives. You could see it in his eyes when he talked about his boys. If a young man comes through this program under Coach Saban and doesn't improve their overall life they will have fought him every step of the way because that is his goal. He really wants them to fulfill their personal potential as much as their football potential. I came away convinced he was one of the most compassionate men I'd ever met and it was a conversation among friends not a PR event. As often as others tried to steer the conversation to on the field topics he steered it back to talking about his boys and what many of them had accomplished in the class room or other things he was proud of them for. It was one of the most refreshing conversations I have ever heard. Posted via Mobile Device

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that for Kerry. Let's keep him in our thoughts and may he be granted the strength to pull through this horrible tragedy.
