Re: Kerry Murphy's Brother Found Dead Inside Of Car
I hate to hear about that. My prayers are with Kerry and his family at this time.

Most fans have no idea what some of these kids go through at home. Some are right next to being homeless. The last coaching regime refused to feed the players - although allowed - during semester breaks. Some went hungry. I have to confess that, when I see some of the most vicious attacks on players, I have to wonder "Where would you be if you'd had to come from where this kid came from?"

I agree 100% with you. I will save my soap box for another thread. As a matter of fact, I may even right my first "blog" on it.

A terrible tragedy reminding us all again that these young men are real people who live real lives and have real problems and tragedies to deal with. Many of them live a much harsher reality than most of us can imagine. I get frustrated with some of their decisions at times as well. However, now I get frustrated because I realize for many of them this is their chance to change their lives and I don't want to see any of them lose that opportunity. God bless Kerry and his family during this difficult time. Posted via Mobile Device

Refused to feed players eventhough allowed by NCAA???? If this is the case, and staff knew kids had no $$ for food, this is simply abuse of an individual and
abuse of power. I know this thread is about something else, but the thought of the above situation is sickening.

Well, how about Ramzee Robinson being told he couldn't go home for his grandmother's funeral (she raised him), and, when he went anyway, being penalized? A cold bunch...

Re: Kerry Murphy's Brother Found Dead Inside Of Car
Earle not only were they an uncompassionate bunch, especially Shelia himself but they failed many of the players. There were too many that were allowed to slip through the cracks. The promises that were made to many moms, dads, aunts, uncles, high school coaches etc... whoever was responsible for the kid at the time of recruitment were left unfulfilled. I really believe many of their personal lives may have turned out differently had we had a different staff. Posted via Mobile Device
