What do things look like on Defense without Hightower?

If indeed tests confirm that Hightower is lost for the year, how do we best compensate? What does the personnel look like from here?

Personally I hope Jerrell Harris is cleared and able to fill in. I don't think Reamer is the answer. Maybe Jordan? I did like seeing Barron up close in a linebacker position with Green at safety a few times today. That seems like a good idea against teams that spread it out.

There would be some shuffling and we might see some Nico Johnson before I expected us to. We'd definitely miss DH and I'd personally like to see a resolution with Harris sooner than later, now. Good thing we have depth at backer.

Tana Patrick may be taking off the RS. We'll certainly see more of Upshaw...

We will be fine, but we now have no margin for injury. We rely very heavily on LB play. McClain has to continue his dominance and stay healthy...

What about Jon Atchison? Maybe Nico is ready for primetime? Man, I hate injuries.

If indeed he is lost for the year, has he played too much for a redshirt?

Even Saban skipped it, and then Cecil asked him. Coach Saban in a quite voice said he should have addressed that and went into a plan and mentioned Hightower's high character. It was very sombering.

Is there any info on the injury or what type it might be? Maybe with luck it will be something not season ending.

It looks like he just missed out on qualifying if the 20% rule is hardfast. Three games would be the max for qualifying this year.
