From what I understand, and correct me if I'm wrong, unless he snags a fumble, int or something along those lines, Cody isn't able to handle the ball unless they change his number. What about cody reads the bubble screen, breaks at full sprint toward the Y and gets to him just as the ball does. UGLY!!

I don't think the rules about jersey numbers are the same in college as they are in the pros. If he lines up in the backfield, he's eligible to carry it. And, according to this link we may see it yet!

Saban's comments in the article would seem to set up Mt. Cody quite nicely for a carry later in the year.

Perhaps vs. Florida in the SEC championship?

I didn't see the "Dropping into coverage, intercepting the ball and carrying eleven players on his back for 50 yards for the TD and kicking the extra point" button, so I went with running it in.
