Alabama has five #1 first place votes in the AP Poll this week
More and more of the "heads" have been giving us good PR. UTw has been helping by being underwhelming...

Congrats to Auburn for a #17 ranking. Also glad to see VT with the lofty ranking; they were moved up quicker than I expected.
Pollsters are gonna' have to figure out how to lower Boise State's ranking. Playing and beating one maybe-viable opponent and twelve cupcakes should not provide entre to a BCS bowl.
I think Ole Sis will be a very tough game. Thank goodness we got one Donta- less game under our belt so appropriate adjustments can be made this week in practice. Rolando McClain was a beast on D being in on just about every play. I was wondering if there is any chance of Nico Johnson playing next week?
I think we will win but it will probably be by a TD or less.

Think it would take a strong win,or just a win? This game concerns me.
I know Saban will have them ready. But this year has been one of "those" years,
Every year is one of "those" years now. It's just the way college football is now i think. It's not like the old days where the same team would show up every week. You never know now.

It really makes no difference whether we beat Mississippi in style or in a sloppy manner, as long as we win. The following week is the Red River Rivalry, and all eyes will be on OU/TX. If Tx wins, they will gain a lot of points, and pull away from us in points in the polls. However, it all makes no difference, because in the big picture, pretty or not, if we win out, win the SECCG, we will be at worst #2, but in all likelyhood, #1. Honestly, with our remaining schedule, style points will not be required (thank you pre-season hype for Mississippi, USCeast looking good, LSU with a big win, and the barners having a decent season so far, and if MSU steals one or two along the way, so much better for us).
Despite media hype, a monkey wrench or two thrown in, or whatever, style points will not be required to be in Pasadena for the big show, and what difference does it make if you go into the Championship game ranked #1 or#2? That game is decided on the field, and it is the end result that ultimately counts.
